{"id":1990,"date":"2014-08-26T11:32:03","date_gmt":"2014-08-26T19:32:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/earthjay.com\/?p=1990"},"modified":"2014-08-26T11:32:03","modified_gmt":"2014-08-26T19:32:03","slug":"napa-earthquake-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earthjay.com\/?p=1990","title":{"rendered":"Napa Earthquake Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There have been a swarm of geologists running around Napa taking photos and documenting evidence from the earthquake swarm on Sunday. <a href=\"http:\/\/earthjay.com\/?p=1981\">Here<\/a> is my first post  about this earthquake swarm, with the M 6.0 earthquake being the largest magnitude earthquake.<br \/>\nMike Oskin and his students have been diligent in their reporting. Most of their observations have been posted to Oskin&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mikeoskin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">twitter account<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/earthjay.com\/earthquakes\/20140824_napa\/oskin\/Napa%20EQ%20surface%20rupture.kmz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Here<\/strong><\/a> is a google earth kmz file that Oskin posted to his twitter feed. They followed the surface trace of the fault, which is represented by the red line. There are notes and photos that are documented by yellow push pin icons. Here is a map with the epicenters of the swarm and the Oskin kmz observations overlain.
